I think (most) Americans are rather remorseful about the decisions we've made as a nation in the last two elections. It's a pity such heathens can be (re)elected. George W. Bush is not intelligent, charismatic, or inspiring in any way, so the fact that the American populace elected him leader of their nation must say something about their lack of judgment, though given he was only properly elected the second time he ran. Personally, I feel apologizing for the words and actions of our dolt of a president is only half of what we should be doing. We should be apologizing for the commitment we made to this president, and other leaders that have misguided our country. We should apologize for, and try to recover, the image we as a people have chosen to present to the world. We are sorry about our president, our vice president, sorry for putting them in office, sorry for our war, our arrogance, and lastly, sorry we've turned "American" into a derogatory adjective.
