Over the past 8 years our president has made a mockery of my country and spent frivolously, defied the UN and other IGOs, invaded sovereign nations, declared innocent people terrorists, scaled back human rights observations, and attempted to give the impression that the USA is the beginning and the end of modern civilization. It isn't.

I'm very very sorry for my president, and I hope you can forgive us, provided our new one is good.

I'm sorry that an ex-coke-head, C student with a sketchy military record and a powerful family with deep pockets is running this country. I'm sorry that in the last 6 months, more than 1 million more people have been added to UNICEF's rolls, needing help to feed their families because this tap-dancing, lying, golf-deprived (what a crock!) fool started a war that drove gas prices up all over the world, lining the pockets of his oil baron buddies while making rice and other food staples impossibly expensive in the third world. I'm sorry that this man's illegal occupation of a sovereign nation has destroyed tens of thousands of lives, including the over 4,000 Americans who gave their lives for lies and oil. I'm sorry that the blind sheep who follow this man and his sadministration saw fit to torture Iraqi nationals on the off chance that they might be or know a terrorist. I am sorry that our elected officials all let their brains go on holiday while Karl Rove managed to push through this nation's most freedom-eroding piece of legislation ever. I'm sorry that our voices--the voices of the sane and the sorry--cannot be heard ringing from our mountaintops. And I'm sorry that this president and his handlers have destroyed hundreds of years of allegiances, wrought through other struggles and other wars (just and unjust alike--though none so unjust as this one), making Americans hated and feared on shores that once welcomed us with warmth and hope. George W. Bush is not my president. Soon, he will not be anyone's president. Not soon enough.

I voted against him twice, and I'll vote against McCain, who I used to respect, this time. We can't get the bums out of our government fast enough. Many apologies to the rest of the world for the huge asses we've become over the past 7 years.

I am sorry that James Thomas(2388) from Kansas City, MO is an idiot. I am sorry that some people, such as Mr. Thomas, do not realize that just because some people are able to get by financially, that they do not realize the shortcomings of our president. I am sorry people like him don't realize the inherent disparities between genders, class, and race in this country, in part brought on by the divisive republican party, using ignorant christian's fears to destroy our reputation around the world, and start a war that has no justification. I am sorry for those of our country who don't realize that the damage caused by President Bush goes far beyond their individual lives.

I've spent the last 7.5 years mourning sanity and hoping that the shrub doesn't appoint himself as newly-appointed prime minister with greater power a la Putin within the next six months. However, sadly, I wouldn't put it past him.

I really apologize for the terrible way Bush has handled just about everything. He is what is wrong with America. It boggles my mind how the country has so much power to do good, but the administration chooses destruction over building and death over free will.

And wow, I also apologize for the horrible spelling in the section from the people who are NOT sorry for the president's actions. Obviously, there are some really well educated people out there in support of Bush. It hurts the mind.

Good times.

I feel the need to apologize even though I could not vote during the last two elections. I was only 11 when he was elected the first time, but I am just as disappointed in the United States as run by the current president as you are.

November approaches soon!

I am sorry that we have so many people who would rather blame a person or a group of people for thier own short comings in life. I have been an active worker through the last 13 years. The difference between Clinton and Bush meant nothing to me. Because I work hard. I am sorry that we don't have more people who work hard in this country, but instead sit around on the internet trash talking our own leaders as thier sense of community and completeness. I am sorry that at times we seem hypocritical. We have people who pretend to work hard and then complain that thier lives aren't great because some President or Government is bringing them down. I am sorry that the intelligence of the people who would blame a system for thier own shortcomings are allowed to have internet access. I am sorry that noone has taken the initiative to stand up and slap a behind or two. I am sorry we have to explain policy in a watered down way, so the people with no other purpose in life, have something to complain about.

I hope that other people in the world understand where I am coming from when I say, I am sorry that alot of people in this country would rather blame a President then improve life on thier own.

I'm sorry our president has killed thousands of people across the world by his actions. I'm more sorry that people in the U.S. are mostly ignorant to the true reasons for our foreign policies. It's unbelievable that George won so many votes just by saying he reads the bible daily. The best bumper sticker I've seen in a while reads, "What would Jesus bomb?"

So sorry about our appointed president. I know that things will be better soon. I have faith.... and not his "faith with morals". He would say I am immoral. My only response is that I have no blood on my hands or heart.

Please forgive me...us...and the mislead; however do not forgive his cronies. Never forgive them.

People of Earth,

In about seven months there's going to be this guy named George who'll be looking for another country leader job. Don't let him lead your country. He sucks. He worked for us for eight excruciating years. A lot of us didn't really want to hire him in the first place, but his Dad managed to pull a few strings so we kind of had to. Don't fall into the same trap we did. Not that he's totally useless. He would be perfect for any vacant salmon gutter or pet detective jobs you may have available.

I'm sorry that our political system allows one person to choose that his brother should be president, instead of it allowing everybody else in the country to elect who they want.

I apologize profusely from the center of my soul for the atrocities and the rampant idiocy of our alleged president. Many of us have never voted for him. In fact, we voted for our real president, Al Gore, eight years ago. Somehow, our current "president" was able to lie his way into office. I hope that you do not consider all of us as reflections of just one person.

I generally apologize not only for the president, George W. Bush but also the xenophobic, small minded idiots who came out of the woodwork after 9/11 to accuse any country that didn't agree with our warmongering of being against us in a paranoid fashion I'd only ever seen before in schizophrenics. The same people who reelected the president for a second term and then belatedly jumped on the smart people bandwagon once it was cool to show your true feelings about a horrible war that has accomplished nothing. Unfortunately, these idiots are unlikely to stop voting in the near future, so I apologize in advance for the future screw ups we make in electing morons to the top office in the land.

Really, I'm sorry for the whole history of our "Americah is the best", ethnocentrically biased policy of shoving our crap culture down everyone else's throats while not bothering to learn anything else about the many cultures outside of our country.

While I'm at it (this is so cleansing), sorry for our ignorant attitudes toward people who may be learning english as they moved to our country in the last few years. Especially since the majority of Americans do not speak more than one language. I have found, however, that individuals learning our language tend to speak as many as five quite well.

In general, we're douchebags. So, sorry about that.

I'm so very, very sorry. None of you deserve this. Many of us wish we can stop it. We even voted for the party that said it would end this war and they haven't.

I hope every single day that it will be over soon.

My sincerest apologies to everyone! The president is in no way representative of the character of America, so just ignore him. Think about Thomas Jefferson or someone instead.

Hard to say I'm sorry when I didn't vote for him, and neither did the majority of Americans. I'm surprised anybody even voted for him the second time. I'm sorry that somehow we've allowed Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz to be in the presidential cabinet since the 1960s. Don't know why they haven't figured out that they exacerbate the world's problems, but like I said, I didn't vote for these people. I don't know when we'll get it right, but you have to understand that we, the people, don't really have anything to do with what our government does (or doesn't do).

This coked out pitiful excuse for a human was put into office because of Papa Bush(HWBush) wanted his son to be president. That's also the only reason dubya made it through college because he was a legacy. I guess he was a legacy president and he was a awful one at that. I certainly didn't vote for him, don't know who did except for people on the supreme court after he lost in '84.
Please don't hold this against us for too long. I know you can't help it though he was just so bad.
